Ikoyi
DADA Gallery
Contemporary African art in an intimate Ikoyi space.

What to expect
Lagos is full of places waiting to be explored, and sometimes the best experiences are the ones that introduce us to something new. If you're looking for a cultural outing beyond the usual restaurants and cafés, DADA Gallery in Ikoyi deserves a spot on your Lagos itinerary.
Located at 49 Norman Williams Street, DADA Gallery is a contemporary art space with a presence in both Lagos and London. It showcases artistic perspectives that encourage visitors to engage with culture, identity, history and the stories behind the work.
The gallery is currently presenting Crosscurrents and Affinities, an exhibition running until 31 October 2026, featuring works by Nigerian artists exploring identity, mythology, cultural heritage and everyday life. One of the featured artists, Kelechi Chinwendu, draws on Igbo oral traditions and the story of Ala, the earth goddess, reflecting on femininity, creation and the bond between women and the natural world.
You don't need to be an expert to appreciate it. Move through the space, pause, observe, and let each work tell its story. It's a lovely way to slow down and connect with the creative side of Lagos, perfect for a solo afternoon, a date, or a relaxed outing with a friend. Best of all, entry is free.
